Handle with CareHandle with Care by Jodi Picoult

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I love Jodi. Really, I do. The thing I love most about her is that she picks these topics that I would never have chosen to spend 400+ pages reading about and makes them absolutely fascinating. (Brittle bone disease in this case.)

The second thing I love about her is that I can read her books in a day or two. Not because they’re short (they’re not). Or because they’re easy (they’re not). But because I absolutely 100% MUST finish them or else I’ll think about them all day and get nothing done. She does not fail to deliver in Handle with Care.

While I give this book 4 stars, I have to make two points:
1. I really hate not liking characters who are supposed to be the good guys. There are parts of this book where I almost wanted to put it down because a few characters were driving me nuts. But, they are human, which is yet another thing I adore about Jodi.
2. The ending made me want to slit my wrists. Enough said.

Other than that, definitely read this book. Rivets you, gets you thinking, plus they talk about cake. Yum.
